Entertainment
Through its close affiliation with Cherokee Ranch & Castle Foundation, The Keep will offer residents opportunities to enjoy musical and theatric performances — as personal entertainment or for their guests — that are completely unique to this community. With the Castle's memorable architecture, art collection and surrounding panorama as a backdrop, the Foundation provides regular performances of chamber music by ensembles from The Colorado Symphony Orchestra, as well as performances by members of The Denver Center Theatre Company, The Denver Center Theatre Academy, The Denver Brass/Brass 5, The University of Denver Lamont School of Music, and other acclaimed companies.
Cultural Attractions and Events
A lively schedule of community arts events is centered around Castle Rock’s new Phillip S. Miller Library and the Castle Rock Community Art Fund. Annual ArtFest attracts artisans from all over the country and 20,000 visitors. Castle Rock has a growing number of fine art galleries, as well as historic tours of nearby Cherokee Castle with art and antiques including 15th and 16th Century works by Sir Christopher Wren, and of Castle Rock Museum in the historic train depot. Castle Rock Players (www.crplayers.org) offers theatrical productions for all ages...and classes.
Transportation
The Keep’s resplendent setting is remarkably convenient to south metropolitan business parks; residents will commute to the Denver Tech Center/Greenwood Plaza in 25 minutes; 20 minutes to Meridian or to Lucent Boulevard in Highlands Ranch. The popular new Light Rail system (both the Southwest and newly opened Southeast corridor lines arrive within 20 minutes of The Keep) is an attractive alternative to downtown, either for work or to reach the three stadiums, Cultural Arts Center, or nightlife in LoDo.
